Didier Lacour grew up in the beautiful south-west of France, in the rural countryside. His childhood filled with sunny days, a wonderful family and great friends. He always knew that he would be an artist. Figuring out the path to achieve his dream was not always easy.
As a young man, his interest in writings of short stories to develop the subject transforming several sketches into a final drawing, allowed the subject to become a reality. The process is organic in nature, making it similar towards the metamorphosis of a butterfly.

The artist advocation is primarily to create a signature spin on a timeless genre by emulating patterns and sensations inherent in nature. His inspirations have been influenced with the art of those from indigenous peoples.
He focuses on compositions and overwhelming technical achievement with success, balancing carefully richness of colors with textural elegance. His concepts are chosen very carefully for the magic and mystery of their graceful colors and designs. Now his works depict fully imaginary world which is passionately inspired by luminous lights and shadows, the sensuous nature of objects and their relationships to each other. The components of imagined imagery are seamlessly blended and connected into a convincing alternative reality. The goal of his work is to capture the moment of exotic wonder in everyday life that may reveal a story for the viewer, inviting others to glimpse his private vision with delightful wonder.

The artist has discovered that to produce a harmonious element which conveys the character to have an appropriate story in order to be represented to the viewer interpretation.
His style continues to evolve and it is through this evolution that has inspired him to continue to grow. His interest in art has never wavered and he spent most of his idle-time studying the great artists. For the most part he is a self-taught artist and continues to explore creative techniques, to add to his interest of the love of art.
The artist has been represented at various galleries regionally and abroad in solo and group showings. Thus the artist style is the total sum of constant recurring or coherent traits which identified with certain individuals or groups, providing the inspiration of mystery to the viewer! - J.Taliaferro -
